Abstract: Ceramics industry of Vietnam is growing up again after the global economic crisis in 2008. Ceramics products are found with a long tradition of Vietnam, and are exported that have contributed positively to the country compared with other commodities. It also has an important role in resolving a number of social and economic problems in rural. The development of the Vietnamese Ceramics Industry and its competitiveness are the focus of this thesis. This study examines the business strategies of Vietnamese ceramics manufacturing firms by applying SWOT analysis and Porter’s Five Force Analysis Data were collected from 110 ceramics firms in Vietnam and drawing upon in-depth interviews about 10 ceramics villages and exporting ceramics enterprises that are located throughout the whole nation. The results show that the differentiation strategies could be chosen for Vietnamese Fine Art Ceramics. These are production innovation, vertical integration of production process, product design and package.
