Abstract: The role of Human resource (HR) department seems to be more and more important in any organization, especially medium to large ones. The main roles of HR department are not only to recruit, to train, to develop and to protect the welfare of employees but also identify areas for reducing costs, increase organization’s efficiency and carry out benchmarking against competitors. Therefore, in order to be success in the market, organizations have to develop their human resource better to best support the business. To effectively structure the HR functions, HR specialists must have a HR plan that identifies the necessary key HR capabilities align with organization’s long term and short term plan and if the current HR function is attractive enough to retain and develop critical talent, finally to improve the organization’s effectiveness. Those activities are all about Human resource management. This article studies on the success factors of human resource management in the Power Electricity Consultancy Company No1 in Vietnam. The study assesses the link between human resource management and organization’s effectiveness. Based on the review of literature on HRM and success factors of HRM in other organizations, we applied those to analyze the current situation of HRM in Power Electricity Consultancy Company No 1 (PECC1).
