Abstract: This research concerns the usage of Vietsoft accounting software given to accountants within small and medium businesses in Vietnam. In order to evaluate user acceptance, they were required to report their experiences of working with the product. Accountants then completed a validated instrument with questions about the software, and data collected from 89 respondents was analyzed to assess whether proposed relationships, based on the original technology acceptance model (TAM), were supported. The results indicated that both usefulness and system’s ease of use have a significant influence on attitude towards using the technology. Subsequently, results showed that critical positive linear associations existed between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention as well as attitude towards using and behavioral intention for future usage. The usefulness of the TAM appears to have been validated by this study. Finally, conclusions for both researchers and practitioners, and suggestions for future research are offered.
